Eastside Baptist Church was organized at Antioch Baptist Church on July 28, 1963 with the Reverend Cornelius, Pastor of Antioch, Presiding. He was assisted by Rev. R.L. Castle, Pastor of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

Who We Are

Brother Azy Register led the group singing and Rev.Castle read the scripture and Offered Prayer.Rev. Cornelius asked for a motion that the people present be given permission to form a church. Rev. Castle moved that those present would be formed into a Missionary Baptist Church. It was moved by Rev. James Bradford and second by Sister Malissa Clark that the name of the new church be Eastside Baptist Church.
