Pastor And First Family
Pastor Larry Lewis, is the New Proud Pastor of The Eastside Baptist Church. We are glad to have him as our spiritual leader of our Church. He and First Lady Evelyn Lewis was a God send to us. Pastor Lewis Preached his first sermon at Eastside on the 1st Sunday in March 2007. He comes to us from our sister church Antioch Baptist Church here in the City of Wichita Falls. Pastor Lewis and First Lady Evelyn has two children; AAron & Tanika. Two Grandchildren;AAron Jr. and Kreeland.
Pastor Lewis appointed zone 6 Chairman
Pastor Larry Lewis was recently appointed as Original West Texas District Association Zone 6 Chairman by Reverend James Larry Williams, Moderator of OWT. He also serves as 2nd Vice President of OWT Congress of Christian Education.
This is an exciting time for us, as we begin new bold ventures. We stand today in a place of strategic influence that will greatly impact the Kingdom. When I think about God’s goodness to us in the past I am filled with appreciation and joy. When I think about what God wants to do for us and through us, I am filled with anticipation and hope.
I want to extend a personal invitation for you to come and share in this experience with us. We strive as a people to be in tune and in touch with our times, as we seek to reach new people and launch new ministries. We are deliberately and purposefully “Building the Church from the Inside Out.” Together we can accomplish more God than we can alone.
God, throughout history, has drawn His people together for worship, encouragement and support. This fellowship of believers offers a wonderful opportunity for all of us, to work together as “one body in Christ.” Our success in transforming and reaching the world depends on us working together.
I ask you to join us in one of our fellowship services. I am certain that what we offer will be both practical and beneficial. I believe with all my heart that your experience with us will strengthen your walk, and encourage your heart. It is with great anticipation that I await your arrival, but until we meet be “steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.”
